The porch rails are now primed a beautiful white! Next, we will completely paint the rails; tear out the carpet, clean, and etch and paint or stain the porch floor; paint the door; and hopefully, hang a swing!
Before I can move forward, I am trying to complete the color scheme, and I am having trouble deciding what color to paint the door: red, black, or other. What are your thoughts?

I like Karla's red door color a lot. I like the black door on the first photo because of the red roof, but I really think since your roof is dark, a red front door would be great. That's my two cents!

ReplyDeleteThe other thing to consider is that Mike and I are saving for a new roof. Our current roof is in decent condition, but the day is coming when it will need replaced. Mike likes the first photo with the red roof! That would really make the house pop in the neighborhood!

It's hard to say...they all look great. My front door is painted white with white trim on all the woodwork, so I guess that's what I like best. Good luck choosing and have fun! Can't wait to see what you choose. ;o)
